Our Mission

At Junior Java, our mission is to use our specialty coffee and tea products as a vehicle to promote education equity for children in need worldwide. Through every cup we sell, we aim to bridge the educational gap by providing school supplies, supporting youth programs, and investing in the development of future leaders. We believe that access to quality education is a fundamental right, and our work is dedicated to empowering underserved communities globally, one sip at a time.

The Problem

Globally, more than 250 million children are out of school, and an estimated 617 million lack basic reading and math skills, according to UNESCO. In many under-resourced communities, even where education is accessible, schools often lack the most basic materials like books, pencils, and technology. This persistent education inequity reinforces cycles of poverty and limits opportunities for children, particularly in developing regions. UNICEF reports that 1 in 5 school-age children do not attend school, while those who do are often faced with overcrowded classrooms, untrained teachers, and limited access to learning resources. These barriers to quality education prevent children from reaching their full potential and leave entire communities at a disadvantage.

Our Solution

Junior Java is committed to being part of the solution to this global crisis. By leveraging our specialty coffee and tea products, we generate funds that go directly toward supporting educational equity initiatives. To date, our efforts have helped provide school supplies to underserved children in both local communities and across the globe. We’ve sponsored programs for aspiring young entrepreneurs, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to succeed. Our mission aligns with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4, focusing on quality education, and with every purchase, we are driving change.  With every bag of coffee and tea sold $5 worth of school supplies is given to children in need worldwide.
